Neighbors

This is not the most attractive image the subjects have ever had I'm sure. I was challenged by the variety of light in the three skin tones as it was reflected off the objects and sky. Another challenge was that the original photo had an ugly background so I set the three people in a leafy image I had. The challenge was to adjust the reflections to make it realistically in that setting. I wanted to paint in an impressionistic manner rather than the detailed manner I usually use. This style is influenced by John Singer Sargent, an American impressonist.
