Poplars by the Road

This was painted many years ago when I was painting in an impressionist manner. Every day I would drive to work by this stand of poplars and one day decided I should paint it from memory. I added a lot of color that had to be invented, but I think it works. The blue trees are poplars silvery trunks reflecting the blue sky. Yes they do too look like that!
