Praying for Sarah

Praying for Sarah

I was part of a small church beginning in a college community. We met in upstairs rooms on an upscale street called, Grand Avenue. We sat on couches, lit the room with candles and worshipped with PowerPoint slides. We ate supper together every Sunday night. At the most we were 25 people. Everyone but me were young. Jeff the pastor is on the far right. I don't remember what Sarah needed prayer for, but we were all very concerned. The group spontaneously took this shape. I saw the possibility and grabbed my camera. The photo was too dark to be any use, so I painted a very large work from it. When the group broke up I gave the painting to Jeff. I felt it belonged to him. We all communicated with each other for a couple years, but I have lost touch with everyone except Jeff and his family. He is pastor of another great church in Thief River Falls. Here's the link: Epiphany Station.
